Is Jesus God? So who was Jesus Christ? Why did he come? Here is a partial list of things we will cover:
- A lot of people say that Jesus is the one true God, but is he?
- If Jesus is God the Father then who was Jesus praying to?
- Some think Jesus was a thin weakling, is that true?
- Did Jesus have long hair like all those paintings?
- What does Jesus Christ look like today?
We will cover all of that and much more. But lets cover #1 and #2 first, because these are the most important on the list. And you will to shortly. We will use the bible as our source KJV and you will learn the truth. Not someone’s opinion and certainly not my opinion. The truth of the matter is the most important. Also the Bible talks a lot about this very subject, so let’s dive right in.
Who raised Jesus Christ, God?
Here is most important point to remember:If Jesus Christ did not die literally for our sins. And then be resurrected by God the Father; we have no savior.
Which means that all of our sins can not be forgiven. Did you ever think of that? This would be totally catastrophic to everyone throughout time! However, if Jesus Christ was resurrected by God. Would that not require two different beings. Remember Jesus was DEAD! And only then was Jesus raised on the third day.
Let’s consider the following in Colossians 2:12 Saint Paul said: “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also all of you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.” Jesus Christ could not be dead and raise himself period. Also note this from Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”
All of this is extremely important. When we die, all brain activity stops. We cease to exist at that time. Until God the Father raises us up from the dead, we are truly dead period. Have you read my article on “What happens when you die?” Remember, what Paul said Jesus was raised by God, and we are buried with him in baptism.
So ask yourself: Either Jesus died on the cross (or a tree we really do not know which) for all of our sins, or he did not die. Again, if Jesus did not die we have no savior. This means God will not forgive our sins. All of our futures ride on this one all important fact!
Is Jesus Christ a God?
So if Jesus was God the Father on earth, then why would Jesus say in Matthew 19:17 “Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is God…”. So if Jesus Christ says the only one that is Good is God the Father and not him, then obviously they are different beings. Also from Mark 10:18 “Why call you me good? There is none good but one, that is God.” Jesus was clearly referring to someone else and not himself.
So what else did Jesus say that we can look at. How about John 5:30 “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which has sent me.” So Jesus can not be God our Father? Let’s look at what Saint Paul said to the Corinthians about Jesus in 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” Again, Saint Paul makes it very clear that Jesus Christ is below God the Father as in his son.
Just as in our human families which God the Father created. There is a Father, a Mother and sons and daughters. This is the very reason we have families. Are families are modeled after the Godhead family. Except the Mother part, we needed a way to keep having babies, right? Also God said “it is not good for man to be alone“, so God created Eve, for Adam. Personally I am very grateful for that arrangement. I have been married for 45 years to the love of my life Pamela.
So is Jesus God or god?
I should at this point at least say that I am not saying Jesus is not a god. I am saying Jesus Christ is not the God, please notice the type case difference. Yes Jesus is a god. Jesus is not the GOD as in God the FATHER! Both are God beings, one is the Father and one is the son, as in two separate beings. Have you read my article on “Why were you born?” That clears this up even more.
In Isaiah 53 it goes into some detail that Jesus would come and what would happen to him. However, Isaiah called Jesus “a tender plant“, does that sound like God? Isaiah further said “…and as a root out of a dry ground he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.” Jesus was not handsome, he was very plain and for a very special reason or purpose as you just read. But we are to desire GOD the Father!
Read what Paul told us in Romans 12 (how christians should live) 12:1 “I plead to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that all of you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
So why would God make Lucifer beautiful Ezekiel 28:13 “You have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the ruby, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your timbrels and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created.” Lucifer was a beautiful Angle of Light. So I ask you why would God do this.
Jesus Christ was sent
Jesus was sent here to earth for very special purposes. To preach the Government of God “which is the gospel“, heal lots of people to start the new testament church and then to die for our sins. I know I shortened up everything Jesus did. But as John said it would take an entire library to cover everything Jesus did. None of that was to bring attention to Jesus Christ himself, not yet I will add. Jesus for lack of a better term was a messenger for God the Father and our savior. These tasks are critical to all of our survival. Absolutely nothing was left to chance at all, everything was orchestrated by God the Father, while Jesus was on earth. They worked in consort together perfectly.
I am just trying to cover as many bases as possible to get you to realize Jesus is not God the Father. Jesus is very special to me. So do not think I am making him to be less than he is. Jesus was perfect in character but not in beauty while he was alive here on earth. I want to repeat this one point: “It is our reasonable service is to be holy and acceptable to God the Father!” That is exactly what Jesus did while he was here on earth. I should add everyone of us should do that as well.
Did Jesus Christ have Long hair?
#3 is just crazy, Jesus would never have long hair period. This is something I am sure Satan came up with. I just pray it was not a man, or they are in serious trouble. In 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 Paul told us “Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? (15) But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” So as you see Jesus would never have been shamed with long hair. Long hair is for a WOMAN only, never a man! At least christian men.
#4 Was Jesus a weak man. Not on your life, he was a carpenter remember. Back then they did not have power tools you had to use your muscles to do the work. So that should prove that is totally wrong, just like the long hair part. Why people do not just read the bible drives me crazy!!
What does Jesus look like today?
#5 Today Jesus looks like he always did originally, as in before he came from heaven. Most people do not realize that when Jesus was born to a human woman he took on much of her DNA. So maybe even half of his DNA came from Mary. We do not know if God used any of Joseph’s DNA. But we do know God used some of her DNA. How, you may ask. Think about it, when Jesus came back after being resurrected from the dead none of the Apostles recognized him at all. Why, because Jesus went back to his original form as he has lived in heaven for eternity. And this time when he came back he was beautiful, not plain as he was as a normal man.
One more point, I have heard some people are claiming that Jesus was a white man. Jesus was NOT white! Jesus was a Jew, his skin tone is like a deep tan color. Oh, and do not forget we do have a description of Jesus Christ as he looks today. I want you to note that his feet are like fine brass, which is not white. His description comes from John in the book of Revelation. So we do know what Jesus looks like right now, how cool is that? But how he looks like now is different from when he came back after his resurrection. You will agree just read his appearance now.
Revelation 1:13-17 “… one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the breast with a golden girdle. (14) His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;(15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.(16) … and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.(17) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:”
Why should God pick you?
No God will not pick everyone. First I want you to think about this. God wants (God needs nothing) people to help all the others once he comes. God wants people that will live the right way, like I said above. Read all of Romans 12. The fact is God “calls” people like this. Then God will teach his laws to you, through the church usually, if you are in the right church. There are so few churches that actually teach the real truth. So when he does come back he can use those people to lead and teach others.
Those people will be called Saints. Have you read my article on “What is a Saint?” These people will help God create new Saints. Then they will become Saints and help others and so on. Everyone was born for the same reason. Read my article on “Why you were born?“
Jesus Christ is the first fruits
Jesus is the first fruits, the very first son of God. There will be a great many more sons and daughters. Can you imagine? That will be a glorious time to be sure. I look forward to that time with bated breath, you can not imagine how much I want God to come TODAY! How about you, I know I can not wait to serve God to meet God and Jesus and everyone else also. One thing I look forward to is meeting you, and having an eternal life alongside of YOU! Together we will work towards that goal so we can be brothers and sisters for all of eternity.
Did this help, I really hope this has cleared everything up for you. Any comments and or questions you have are welcome. Anything that I have not covered so far at least and if you have an issue with anything let me know. There is a lot to go. So either way I hope I will be answering all your questions in the future.
